Welcome
to Art at White Station Elementary!
I am your child’s Art Teacher, Mrs. Shirley. We have a creative and
comfortable atmosphere conducive for expressing and communicating using visual
art. Our talented artists will learn about diverse cultures, participate in art
discussions, and learn how to create using a variety of art media. We will
begin with The Elements of Art, The Principles of Design and construct our
meaning by analyzing our work. Students will be graded on meeting the lesson’s
objectives, quality of work, work ethic, and responsibility. Our work is
featured around the community, our school, local contests and the Board of
Education. You can check out our school website and my blog for specific art
